Grant William Epstein
Mr. Epstein has served in a leadership role for hundreds of real estate development projects throughout the country. As an architect, urban planner, and developer, he has led design and development efforts for mixed-income, mixed-use, and transit-oriented neighborhoods and buildings. His work has laid the foundation for countless families and businesses to live, work, and play in walkable and safe, community-focused environments. As a result of this work, Mr. Epstein and his projects have received numerous design awards from the Congress for the New Urbanism (CNU), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and the American Institute of Architects (AIA).
Mr. Epstein received a Bachelor of Architecture in 1999 from the University of Notre Dame and a Master in Business Administration in 2007 from The McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University. Mr. Epstein is a registered architect, licensed to practice in Washington, DC, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the District of Columbia Building Industry Association (DCBIA).
Mr. Gathinji has over a decade of experience leading highly-complex development projects from concept to construction. He uses his design and project management skill to solve conflicts in real time, allowing for both greater process efficiencies while maintaining quality design principles in every Community Three project. Mr. Gathinji received a Bachelor of Architecture in 2005 from the University of Notre Dame and a Master in Architecture in 2009 from Yale University.
Entrepreneurial real estate development professional with a strong technical focus and a fundamentals-based business acumen with a varied portfolio of commercial real estate experience. Drawing on that experience, Mr. Freer builds rapport, garners trust, and promotes buy-in of all stakeholders from concept through design, to create lasting industry partnerships. Projects have included trophy Class A office space, high end retail, mixed-use residential and commercial properties.
Community Three brings a unique knowledge in the analysis, acquisition, and redevelopment of properties in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Based upon decades of experience in real estate development, Community Three has exclusive access to “opportunity properties” in currently emerging historic neighborhoods throughout the city and shares this advantage in project specific partnerships and long-term investment funding platforms with individual and institutional investors.
